804: Five Very Big Questions

Wednesday
10:00 - 11:50
Starting March 02
River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation

How do I know what I think I know is actually true? Where did I come from? Who am I? What is my life's purpose and how do I overcome impediments to achieving it? What happens to me when I die? The ancient Greek philosopher Socrates was reputed to have declared, "The unexamined life is not worth living." For persons interested in undertaking a Socratic-inspired self-examination, these five questions are a good place to start. The course is intended to be conducted as a graduate school seminar in which these questions are approached through each participant presenting his or her own commentary on the weekly readings. Manual available for purchase from SGL.
