563: How to Develop a Photographer's Eye (Section B)

Thursday
1:45 - 3:15
Starting March 05
In-Person

Billions of photos are taken every day, but how many of them are compelling? In this class, you will learn the elements that make a photograph engrossing: lighting, color, composition, details, texture, and more. Every week we will study master photographers and you will have assignments which we will critique in class. Use whatever camera you like, including smartphones. The class requires you spend one to two hours a week taking pictures. This class is about taking photographs, not about enhancing images, which is the equivalent of darkroom work with analog images. To learn how to use the camera features of your iPhone, you might want to attend one of the free workshops at local Apple stores.
