962: Memoir Writing Workshop
July 6-10
9:45 AM -
11:15 AM
In-Person
What is a writing workshop? Simply, a workshop is where writers meet as a group and discuss each other's work. With guidance from an experienced writer, and support from a community of fellow participants, this ongoing workshop offers a safe place to imagine, wonder, think, and create. Learn how to frame a narrative, find a unique voice, reflect on the past through the present, and much more. We will discuss the hallmarks of all good memoirs and personal essays and discuss works in progress, and, because good writing demands good reading, we will take a look at other fine examples in this genre. Be prepared to share!
