1130: Candid Conversations: Judges on the Job of Judging
Friday11:45 - 1:15
Starting June 09
Online
At a time when polls and pundits indicate that public understanding of the courts is cloudy, participants in this study group will have the opportunity to get some clarity about the judiciary by engaging with federal judges. This series is an opportunity to interact with and ask questions of diverse judges from DC and other parts of the country. Different judges will engage with participants on a new topic each week, ranging from the role of juries as partners in justice, to the complexities of high-profile trials, to the disposition of cases that are appealed but don't make it to the Supreme Court. Each session will have a different starting topic, but the floor will be open to questions on any subject. Class members are required to be on camera, and must have access to a microphone so that they can raise questions and comments directly with the judge and moderator. This study group has a high class size capacity.
